Joseph J. Killian

Joseph J. Killian, 88 of Mohrsville died July 28 th in St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center. Joseph was the husband of Josephine A. (Checkley) Killian. Joe was born in Manhattan, N.Y. City and was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Batik) Killian. He worked as a service technician in the heating business for many years before his retirement. Joseph was an enthusiastic Ham Radio operator. He was of the Catholic Faith. In addition to Josephine, he is survived by his four sons; Michael J, husband of Joanne (Distefano) Killian, Toms River, NJ, Steven J. husband of Suzanne (Distenfano) Killian, Medford, NY, Robert A. husband of Marianne (Lonergan) Killian, Lake Ariel, PA. and Richard G. husband of Diane (Landry) Killian, East Islip, NY., grandchildren; Jennifer, Thomas, Eric, Jessica, Jason, Robert, Anthony, Michaela, Samantha and great-grandchildren; Henry, Maggie and Austin. Joseph is also survived by a sister, Janice J. wife of David Bonebreak, Media, PA. A prayer service will be held for Joseph on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 South 4 th Street, Hamburg. A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
