Joseph S. Hasiak

Joseph S. Hasiak, 86, Wyomissing, died Feb. 2 at 11:35 a.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., Spring Township, where he had resided since Aug. 18.

His wife, Priscilla A. (Davidat) Hasiak, died June 17.

Born in Hoboken, N.J., he was a son of the late Joseph F. and Sophie (Kidda) Hasiak.

Hasiak was employed for 36 years as a technical assistant by Bell Labs, Homdel, N.J., retiring in 1984.

He was a past vice president of the New Jersey state Elks.

Surviving are a son, Robert J., Bellevue, Neb.; and a daughter, Sandra A. (Hasiak) Bork, Wyomissing.

Other survivors include a sister, Anne Hasiak, Floral Park, N.Y.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield. Burial will be in St. Theresa's Cemetery, Summit, N.J. Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 100 N. 17th Street, Second Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19103. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
