Joseph H. O'Neill

Joseph H. O'Neill, 80, Wyomissing, died April 3 in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Natalie M. (Lombardo) O'Neill.

Born in New York City, he was a son of the late Joseph J. and Jane (Hannett) O'Neill.

O'Neill had been employed for 35 years as a timekeeper by Continental Can Co., Reading, retiring in 1991.

He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

O'Neill was a former lector, choir member and Eucharist minister at both St. Ignatius Loyola Church and Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

O'Neill is also survived by a daughter, Christine M. (O'Neill) Seyler, Reading; and four sons: Vaughan J., Reading; Joe A., West Chester; Desmond J., Philadelphia; and Thomas C., Vincentown, N.J.

Other survivors include a brother, Desmond, Red Bank, N.J., and 11 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Ignatius Church, 2810 Saint Albans Drive Whitfield, PA 19608. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
