Joseph J. Desante

Joseph John DeSante, Jr., of Muhlenberg Township, died October 27, 2011 in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Erin L. Brophy-DeSante, whom he married May 28, 1988.

Born in Coledale, Schuylkill County on September 28, 1955, he was a son of the late Joseph Sr., and Doris M. (Harvey) DeSante.

He was a 1973 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

Joseph was employed 29 years as a driver with UPS, last working January 2009.

He was a member of the Central PA Teamsters #429.

He is also survived by a daughter, Taylor A. DeSante of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include two sisters: Donna M. (DeSante), wife of Joseph H. Etzel of Penn Township and Karen M. (DeSante), wife of George A. Kielman of Silver Springs, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to defray expenses.
