Joseph L. Connolly

Joseph L. Connolly, 90, of Reading, passed away August 22, 2018, at the Reading Hospital.

His wife Lorraine C. (Cellucci) Connolly, died on July 26, 2016. They married on November 7, 1953.

Born in Oakland, NJ, he was a son of the late LeRoy J. and Florence F. (Donnawald) Connolly.

Joseph was a graduate of St. Joseph's Preparatory School, Philadelphia and Pierce School of Business.

He was self-employed as a manfacturers' representative.

Joseph was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

He is survived by his children: Mark, husband of Sylvia Connolly, Spring Township; Karen, wife of Scott Schoen, Sinking Spring; and Michael, husband of Lori Connolly, East Norriton; Five grandchildren: Jennifer, Maria, Christopher, Ryan and Steven; and four great-grandchildren: Christian, Grace, Dominic, and Caroline also survive him.

Joseph was predeceased by three siblings: Louise Mclaughlin, Bernard Connolly, and Mary Ann Maloney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 31, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 237 Franklin St., Reading, PA 19602 with burial to follow at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield. A viewing will be held Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests Mass cards in Joseph's memory to be purchased at Holy Rosary Rectory. Edward J.
