Joseph Bruno

Joseph Bruno, 73, of Reading, passed away February 16, 2009 in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Helen L. (Oros) Bruno; they would have celebrated their 50th anniversary on May 2.

Born in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily, Italy, he was a son of the late Anthony and Sebastiana (Nigrelli) Bruno.

He was employed for 33 years by Textile Machine Works, Goss and Rockwell International retiring in 1997.

Joseph was a member of St. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, Reading and a lifetime member of Slovak Catholic Sokols.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Anthony J. Bruno, his sister, Santina Lombardo, both of Sinking Spring and two grandchildren, Megan E. Bruno and Joseph A. Bruno.

He was predeceased by his brother, Vincent P. Bruno.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Cyril and Methodius Church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
