Joseph Boulanger

Joseph "Joe" Boulanger, 81, formerly of Montrose Manor, passed away August 11, 2016, in Berks Heim.

Born in Yugoslavia, he was the son of the late Peter W., and Elizabeth (Piller) Boulanger.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Joe was a master carpenter; he was the owner and operator of Joe Boulanger Carpentry. Joe was last employed by Wingert Construction as a finish carpenter, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed trap shooting and spending time at the Reading Leiderkranz. He also enjoyed picnics with friends.

He was instrumental in reviving The Germania Soccer Club.

Joe is survived by three children: Joseph P., husband of Sharon Boulanger, Reinholds; Lisa M. (Boulanger), wife of M. Brian Kopcik, Bernville; and Deborah A. (Boulanger) Gentry, Wyomissing. Nine grandchildren: Brianna, wife of Matt Gable; Kyle Boulanger; Nicole Kopcik; Morgan Kopcik; Reed Kopcik; Jennifer Gentry; Richard Gentry; Thomas Gentry and Lauren Gentry also survive him.

Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
