Joseph K. Barr

Joseph Kenneth Barr, 85, of Laureldale, died October 12th at 1:51 pm in The Reading Hospital & Medical Center, where he had been a patient since October 4th.

He was the widower of Marian Marie (Sassaman) Barr, who died December 20, 2001.

Born in Mount Holly, New Jersey on May 30, 1921, he was a son of the late Paul and Magdalane (Dries) Barr.

He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Joseph was an Army Veteran of WWII.

He was a part owner and auto mechanic for over 30 years at J&K Auto, Laureldale until his retirement.

Joseph is also survived by two sons, Jay K. Barr of Berea, Kentucky and Gary A. Barr of Laureldale.

Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale with the Rev. Grant A. Wickert officiating.
