Joseph A. Turowski, 93, of Wernersville, died October 19, 2011, in Phoebe Berks, Village Gardens.

He was the husband of Jane A. (Roth) Turowski.

Born in Belleville, MI, he was the son of the late Anthony and Helen (Pruess) Turowski.

Joseph was a graduate of Detroit Public School and attended Lawrence Technology Institute, Detroit, MI.

He was a US Army Staff Sgt. Veteran, serving in Red Arrow 32nd Division, during WWII.

Joseph was Founder and President of Detail Fabricating, Inc., Livonia, MI, for 20 years, retiring in 1981.

He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Sinking Spring.

Joseph enjoyed wood carving and designing and creating stain glass.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, William J., husband of Charleen Turowski, Howell, MI, Thomas J., husband of Joyce Turowski, San Francisco, CA and Susan J. Harenza, Wyomissing and four grandchildren, Army SSgt. Stephen Turowski, Andrew Turowski, Jeffrey Harenza and Beth Harenza.

Memorial Services will be private at the convenience of the family in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, 40 North Ninth St., Reading, PA 19601. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
