Jose I. Sanchez

Jose Ignacio "Nachin" Sanchez, Sr., 71, died December 26, 2011 in his Reading residence.

Born December 21, 1940 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Pedro Sanchez and Herminia Isaac.

He was employed as a welder for 25 years with Reading Body Works, Reading.

Jose is survived by two sons: Jose I. Sanchez Jr., companion of Maria D. Santiago of Temple and Elliott E., husband of Kelly S. (Shannon) Sanchez of Perkiomenville.

Other survivors include three siblings: Carmen Clemente of Reading; Pedro Sanchez and Elliot Sanchez, both of Puerto Rico.

He is also survived by his former wife, Rocio Serrano, with whom he resided.

There are five grandchildren, Jessica, Erica, Sandra, Danny and Mya and three great grandchilden, Zander, Angelina and Shaemus also survive him.

Services will be Saturday, with a viewing from 2-4 p.m. and the service starting at 4 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading.
