Jordan L. Bausher, 86, of Exeter Township, died June 19, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
He was the husband of Elizabeth M. (McIlvain) whom he married on February 28, 1959.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late J. Lee and Mildred (Jordan) Bausher.
Jordan graduated from The Clark School in Hanover, NH and received his bachelor's degree from The Pennsylvania State University.
He served as an Army Intelligence Officer during the Korean War then as part of the Army Reserve.
Jordan began his career at the Carpenter Technology Corporation, followed by Boyertown Auto Body, before finally owning and operating Limekiln Sod Company.
He was a devoted member of Holy Cross United Methodist Church, and served on the Board of Trustees.
Jordan was a former president and board member of Charles Evans Cemetery. He also served as chairman and board member for the American Red Cross, and as board member for the Reading Public Museum Foundation. He was an active Boy Scout Leader and worked with the Exeter Township Planning Commission, a member of the National Ski Patrol, and a member of the Washington Library Company.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Jacob L. and son Jace; Christopher M.; Abigail B., wife of Jeffrey Smith and children Brandon, Dustin, Garrett, and Dillon; Rebecca M. Bausher, wife of Charles Pearson and children Elijah and Scarlett. Also surviving is a sister, Noel Bausher Szundy.
Jordan was predeceased by sisters: Elaine Bausher Post and Phyllis Bausher Petrak.
Services will be private at the family's request. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Red Cross Berks County Chapter, 701 Centre Ave, Reading, PA 19601 or to the Holy Cross United Methodist Church, 329 N 5th St, Reading, PA 19601.
