Joni C. Lavigna

Joni Colette Lavigna, 52, of Reading, died October 16, 2007 at 11:37 am in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the fiancé of William Brian Cullen, with whom she resided.

Born July 18, 1955 in West Reading, she was a daughter of Arlene (Hermansader) Resch of Reading and the late Anthony Lavigna, Jr.

She was a 1973 graduate of Reading High School.

Joni was employed 22 years with the Humane Society of Berks County as an Enforcement Officer, last working in May.

She is also survived by a daughter, Shannon Lee (Gehret) wife of Christopher F. Coy of Mount Penn and a brother, Michael A. husband of Karen S. (Ciemiewicz) Lavigna of Reading.

Other survivors include three grandchildren, Dylan J. Coy, Ashton M. Coy and Grayson P. Coy and three aunts, Helen Bentz, Josephine Maggiaro and Elinor Bleiler.

There is also a niece, Kristi M. Lavigna and a nephew, Craig A. Lavigna surviving.

Memorial Services will be Saturday at 12:00 noon in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. There will be a visitation held one hour prior to services.
