John F. Stoudt

John F. Stoudt, Sr., 83, of Lincoln Park, passed away June 24, 2012 in Berks Heim surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Dorothea K. (Kern) Stoudt, whom he married 62 years ago on March 18, 1950.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Hiester M. and Viola M. (Sutton) Stoudt.

He was a 1947 graduate of West Reading High School and attended Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute and Penn State University, Berks.

John was a worked for Berks Earned Income Tax Bureau for 20 years, retiring in 1990 as an Asst. Executive Director. Previous to Berks EIT he had worked for Textile Machine Works for 20 years as a sales coordinator.

He was an avid hunter and also enjoyed carpentry work.

John was a member of Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, Mohnton. Formerly he was a member of Grace ECC, Reading, where he served on church council for 26 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children: John F. Stoudt, Jr., Spring Township; Jeffrey R. Stoudt, Laurel, MD and Wendy D., wife of Steven Pauley, Sinking Spring. There is one brother, Theodore H., husband of Joanne Stoudt, Wernersville. Two grandchildren: Melanie B. Weidner and Timothy L. Weidner also survive him.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Mohnsville Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
