John Leonard Ryan

John Leonard "Jack" Ryan, 98, of Reading, died January 19, 2015, in Reading Hospital.

His wife, Miriam (Ebersole) Ryan, died on May 3, 2010.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Frank and Florence Missouri (Crader) Ryan.

He was a 1934 graduate of Reading High School.

Jack worked for Philadelphia Club Advertising. He retired after 50 years as vice president of Publication Production for Beaumont, Heller and Sperlin Advertising Agency in 1971.

He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

Jack was a member of the Musician's Union for over 20 years. He was on the Board of Directors for Green Valley Country Club and an Officer in the Flying Dutchman Ski Club, Reading.

He is survived by his daughter, Miriam C., wife of Rick Wood, Ft. Pierce, FL. and two grandchildren, Michael Noll, Miami, FL and Michelle Noll, San Diego, CA.

Jack was predeceased by four siblings, Jean R. Waldo, Philip F., Donald C. and Frank A.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius R.C. Church, 2810 St. Alban's Dr., Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Ignatius R.C.
