John H. Roberts

John H. Roberts, 84, of Wyomissing, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, in the care of Reading Hospital. For almost 65 years he shared a loving marriage with Virginia "GiGi" (Boyd) Roberts.

Born in Lebanon, PA, to the late Catherine (Guerrisi) and Nicholas Roberts, John graduated from Lebanon Catholic High School in 1960. He graduated from La Salle University. For several years he worked with Empire Steel Castings before accepting a position with GPU, later known as First Energy, a role which brought him and his family to Sinking Spring. He retired in 2002 after more than 25 years with the company.

His warm sense of humor and friendly disposition allowed him to forge connections with many, as he truly enjoyed getting to know people. John was an avid, life-long Eagles fan and held season tickets from 1990 through 2008. He also had a deep appreciation for music and enjoyed musicals and Broadway productions.

A devoted family man, John is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia; their children, Meg (Roberts) Gannon of Wyomissing Hills, and John H. Roberts III, husband of Tracy Roberts, of Flying Hills; and grandchildren: Adam Gearheart, San Diego, CA; Kyrstin Gannon, Wyomissing Hills; Colin Roberts, Flying Hills; and Erin Roberts, Flying Hills.

A Prayer Service and Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611. Visitation will begin at 10:00. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
