John J. Olsavsky

John J. Olsavsky, 73, formerly of Reading, passed away August 6, 2016, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Brighton, MA.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Michael A. and Clara (Stelma) Olsavsky.

He was a 1961 graduate of Reading High School and a 1963 graduate of Rets Technical School, Philadelphia.

John was employed by Honeywell as a computer repairman and then as a taxi driver for the city of Boston before retiring in 2003.

He was a current event enthusiast and enjoyed going to the casino.

John is survived by his siblings: Michael S., husband of Mary Ann Olsavsky, West Chester; and Carol, wife of Lou Wentz, Eugene, OR. Four nieces and one nephew also survive him.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
