John K. Nagle, 92 of Bern Township, died August 15, 2015, at the St. Joseph Hospital.
His wife, Charlotte V. (Strause) Nagle, died in 1969.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late William H. and Mabel M. (Klick) Nagle.
He was a U.S. Army veteran during WWII, serving in Europe - Battle of the Bulge and the Pacific Theater.
John worked as a purchasing agent for Trim-Master Corp and Specialty Design and also worked as an antique restorer at Fred and Dottie's, retiring in 2007.
He loved fishing, golfing and woodworking. As an adult he was active in Scouting.
Most importantly, he was a loving and devoted family man who will be truly missed by all who knew him.
John is survived by three children: John A., husband of Elizabeth Nagle, Reading, Gary L. Nagle, husband of Debra DeCarlo, Sinking Spring and Sharon L. Listrani, Reading; four siblings: Lawrence Nagle, Birdsboro, Robert Nagle, Shillington, June Kruk, FL and Jean Luppold, OH.
He is also survived by two grandchildren, John A. Nagle, II and Dena Listrani and three great-grandchildren, Averyana Szczepkowski, Ayden Szczepkowski and Gavin Nagle; his dog and three cats.
John was predeceased by his grandson, Matthew R. Nagle.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Humane Society, 1801 N. 11th St., Reading, PA 19604.
