John J. Molets, 88, of 106 Monroe Street, Hyde Park, Pa., 19605 died July 16 in Lebanon Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he had been a patient five days.
He was the husband of Margaret M. (Hydock) Molets.
Born in Summit Hill, Carbon County, he was a son of the late George and Mary (Vidurek) Molets.
Molets was employed for 39 years as a machinist by Textile Machine Works, Wyomissing, retiring in 1976.
He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.
An Army veteran of World War II, Molets received two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star.
He also is survived by a son, John G., Colony Park, and a daughter, Margaret A. Molets, Muhlenberg Township.
Other survivors include a granddaughter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Church. Viewing Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Contributions may be made to Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church c/o Building Fund, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading, Pa 19605.
