John K. Minnick

John K. Minnick, 81, of Wyomissing, died May 28, 2010 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

His wife, Annabelle C. (Nolan) Minnick, died August 14, 2008.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Thomas J., Jr. and Catherine (Kiely) Minnick.

John was a 1947 graduate of Radnor High School and also attended the Spring Garden institute.

He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America for over 30 years.

John was the owner of the John K. Minnick Company, Radnor, for over 50 years.

He was a member of Sacred Heart R.C.C., West Reading.

John was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He is survived by four children: Thomas J., of Charlotte Hall, MD; Sean K., of Laurel, MD; Patricia A. Minnick of Wyomissing and Lesley M. McCadden of Easton. There are also five grandchildren and two great grandchildren surviving.

He was predeceased by his four siblings: Thomas J. Minnick, III; Jospehine Judson; Judith Scarlet and Catherine Resnick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Katharine of Siena, 104 S. Aberdeen Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made payable to The Reading Hospital Development Fund, in the memo please write, "R3 in memory of John K.
