John S. Milia

John S. Milia, 84, formerly of Wernersville, passed away peacefully February 17, 2014, in Mease Dunedin Hospital, Dunedin, FL.

He was the husband of Betty J. (Fox) Milia.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Theresa (Elmo) Milia.

He was a 1948 graduate of Reading High School, and in 1956 graduated from the Reading Business Institiute.

John was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

He was associated with Hoover Motor Company, Wernersville from 1956 until his retirement as a partner and co-owner in 1987.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, John S. Milia, Jr., Lake Forest, CA and Marie Milia, Reading; two grandsons, Eric and Daniel Yocum and four great-granddaughters, Mariya, Aleeya, Laney and Gabriella Yocum.

He was predeceased by his sister, Marie (Milia) Ibach.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, with burial to follow. Friends may call Friday from 9 to 10 a..m in Edward J.
