John Paul Mensak, 73, of Union Twp., died November 26, 2008 in Zerbe Sisters, Narvon.
He was the husband of Adrienne L. (Pont) Mensak.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he was the son of the late Theodore P. and Anna (Yustak) Mensak.
He earned a BS in Engineering from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ in 1957; John graduated from Villanova University in 1963 with an MA in Engineering; he also attended the University of Pennsylvania.
John was a system engineer for General Electric, King of Prussia for 35 years and later served in the same capacity for Lockheed Martin, King of Prussia for six years, retiring in 1998.
He was a member of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, Mohnton, where he was an extraordinary minister and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
In John's spare time he loved gardening and woodworking.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Christopher P., husband of Eleanor Mensak, Morgantown; and Lisa J., wife of Mark Barbaradora, Downingtown. Five grandchildren, Rachel, Elizabeth, Nathan, Taylor and Trevor also survive him. He was predeceased by one daughter, Anne.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Benedict's Church. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be private in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Pottstown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o: St. Benedict's Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton, PA 19540. Edward J.
