John P. Maurer

John P. "Jack" Maurer, 76, Wyomissing, died Jan. 25, 2009, in Reading Hospital, where he was a patient for a brief time.

He was married 44 years to his loving wife, Marie Louise Maurer.

Born June 3, 1932, in Reading, he was a son of the late Robert Maurer and Marguerite (O'Donnell) Maurer.

Jack was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster.

He was an Army veteran, serving before he attended college.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

Jack was currently employed as a commercial agent with Remax Commercial International.

He is also survived by a daughter, Karen Louise Maurer, West Reading.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Lakeview and Franklin streets, West Reading, PA 19611. Viewing will be Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m., in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
