John M Maslar

John "Moose" Maslar, Jr., 68, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, PA. He was the son of the late John and Grace (Mease) Maslar. Moose graduated from Reading Central Catholic School in 1971 and attended St. Joseph's University in 1975. John was a Auditor for the Auditor's General Department for 20 years. John was the head coach for St. Cyril's High School Basketball team.

John is survived by his brother, David husband of Ellen Maslar, his niece, Valerie wife of Taylor Thompson, his nephew, Robert Maslar, and his best friend, Rick Yurkiewicz.

For the safety of all masks are required for Moose's viewing and committal service.

A viewing for Moose will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022, from 10-11 AM at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc, West Reading. Committal Service will immediately follow at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Rd., Reading, PA, 19605.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
