John P. Manzick

John P. Manzick, 91, of Windsor Twp., passed away Monday, October 29, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-South Schuylkill Campus.

He is survived by his wife Anna Mae (Kabana) Manzick.

Born in Cumbola, PA, he was the son of the late Stanley and Mary Elizabeth (Jarinko) Manzick.

John was a graduate of Blythe High School where he was a three sport athlete. He loved playing baseball.

He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran serving during World War II.

John was self-employed as an appliance repairman.

He was a member of St. Mary R. C. Church, Hamburg.

In addition to his wife, John is also survived by five children: Beth, wife of Will Peiser, Floral Park, NY; Ro, wife of Edward Walsh, Manchester, VT; Ann, wife of Tom Staines, Elmont, NY; Harry Manzick, Glen Oaks, NY; and Bert, husband of Patty Manzick, Seaford, NY. Nine grandchildren and one sister, Martha Peak, Leavenworth, KS, also survive him.

John was predeceased by his first wife, Helen E. (Hoeler) Manzick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 5, 2018, at 12:30 p.m., at St. Mary R.C. Church, 94 Walnut Rd, Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial with full military honors will follow in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass in church, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burkey and Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
