John J. Lord

John J. Lord Sr., 74, passed away July 5, 2016, in his Wernersville residence.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Anna Lord and Lewis Seaman.

He was the husband of Kathleen (Pewor) Lord.

John was a graduate of Reading High School.

He was employed by Dana Corporation for 36 years in the maintenance department.

John enjoyed going to classic car shows and showing his car at car shows. He also enjoyed wood working and helping out in construction with projects.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: John J., husband of Gayleen Lord, Wernersville; Joseph Lord, Reading; and Denise, wife of Kevin Rickenbach, Hamburg; two stepchildren: Randy Green, and his girlfriend Chris Evans, Reading; and Pamela, wife of Francis Petroski, Douglassville; and one sister, Shirley, wife of Todd Gurtowski, Mohrsville; a brother in law, Harry Somers, Mohrsville. Four grandchildren: Chasity Witwer, Patience Schmidt, Randy Rickenbach, and Logan Rickenbach; four step grandchildren: Shawn Petroski, Katrina Petroski, Brian Ludwig, and Corinne Amtsfield; 12 great grandchildren: Nick, Shelby, Shane, Brianna, Lauren, Joshua, O'Ryan, Gavin, Ryleigh, Ian, Haley, and Elijah also survive him.

John was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley (McCoy) Lord in 1977, and a sister, Barbara Somers and a brother, Charles Seaman.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2016, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Immanuel U.C.Church, 99 South Waverly Street, Shillington, PA 19607 with services to follow in the church. Burial will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Forest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Immanuel U.C.Church in John's name to the above address. Edward J.
