John F. Lewis

John "Jack" F. Lewis, 88, died February 26, 2015, in the Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Dorothy(Mark) Lewis with whom he resided at the Highlands of Wyomissing.

Born in Shillington, he was the son of the late J. Frank and Clara(Oberly) Lewis.

John was a 1944 graduate of Wyomissing High School where many of his friends called him "Lewie".

He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army Air Force

John retired as Mid Eastern Sales Manager from Union City Body Company, Union City, IN. At one time he was also the owner of Lake View Restaurant in Boyertown.

He was a longtime, active member of the Wyomissing Alumni Association and the YR Club. John loved his Dixieland Jazz Music, and was always happy and smiling with a joke ready for anyone.

Along with his wife he is survived by a son John A. Lewis husband of Anita, Wyomissing, and his grandchildren Gabrielle and Taylor.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday at 12 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, with a visitation from 11 a.m to 12 p.m. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
