John Klaptosky, 76, of Laureldale, died February 28 at 1:36 p.m. in Reading Hospital E.C.U. where he was admitted earlier in the day.
Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Yanchek) Klaptosky.
He was employed by AT&T, Muhlenberg Twp. for over 30 years retiring in 1984.
Klaptosky was a graduate of Pottsgrove High School in 1947.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include one son, John S., Butler, PA and two daughters, Bonita A. (Klaptosky) McCoy, Wernersville and Linda L. (Klaptosky) Sikorski, , Reading. There is also one brother, Joseph Klaptosky, Pottstown and four sisters, Mary (Klaptosky) Tudor, Charlestown, PA, Betty (Klaptosky) Emerson, Hamburg, PA Helen (Klaptosky) Sellman, Pottstown and Stella (Klaptosky) Speiwak, Royersford, PA. Other survivors include 3 grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
