John Joseph Liptock

John Joseph Liptock, Sr., 94, passed away on October 1, 2022, at the St. Francis Home. He was the husband of Shirley J. (Stahl) Liptock. They shared many wonderful years together.

Born in Primrose, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Hardock) Liptock. John graduated from Pottsville Catholic High School. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1950-1954. John was employed as a sales representative at Dietz & Watson for 33 years.

John was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle, Shillington for 58 years.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley, his son, Steve (Lisa) of Shillington, daughters, Elizabeth Bradley of Nashville, TN and Kathleen (Kendall) Noble of Douglassville, eight grandchildren: Joseph, David, Joshua, Audriana, Julian, Tamika, Amy and Ann, six great-grandchildren.

John was predeceased by his son, John Liptock Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 7, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Baptist de la Salle, Shillington with interment at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale to follow. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis Home of Reading, 144 Hillside Dr., Reading, PA 19607. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc, West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
