John Huesman

John "Jack" Frederick Huesman, of Wayne New Jersey passed away unexpectedly December 23th, in his home at the age of 75. Jack was born in West Reading December 3rd 1941, the son of the late Charles and Miriam Huesman.

He graduated from West Reading High school 1959; he later attended LaSalle and Albright College. Growing up the son of a florist and helping his father tend to their 10 greenhouses inspired Jack in 1980 to start Huesman Associates, a business that focused on: Floral, Garden, and Home Décor products from venders around the country. Jack was very proud of his business and his valued customers.

Jack was Member of the West Reading State Championship Basketball Team of 1959; Jack was All-County in track & field running the 220 yard dash and participated in the Penn Relays.

Jack is survived by four children: Rick Huesman Temple Pa. Jeffrey husband of Christine Huesman Temple Pa. Christopher husband of Julia Huesman Stonington Ct. Elizabeth wife of Bruce Reid Bedminster NJ. Jack is also survived by his longtime companion of forty-two years Gail Smith and her son Harry Smith III of Wayne New Jersey.

Jack has seven grandchildren: Ian Huesman, Noah Huesman, Lauren Reid, Leigh Reid, Ashley Huesman, Olivia Huesman, Lucas Huesman, and one great grandson: Gianni Christopher Anton.

Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at 11 am. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
