John M. Hottenstein

John M. Hottenstein, 93, died October 21, 2007 in the Highlands at Wyomissing.

His wife Lois E. (Scherer) Hottenstein died October 15, 1997.

Born in Lehighton, he was the son of the late Ira and Beulah (Reichard) Hottenstein.

He was the president of Gai-Tronics, Mohnton for 15 years retiring in 1983. Previously he was the Plant Manager for I.T.E. Circuit Breaker, Co., Philadelphia for 19 years.

John was a graduate of Lehigh University earning a B.S. degree in Engineering.

John was an engineer in World War II, for Admiral Hyman Rickover.

He was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

He served on the Board of Directors for the Caron Foundation.

John is survived by two sons, Dr. John Stephen husband of Debra, Wyomissing and Paul husband of Sherry, Fountain Hills, AZ; and one daughter, Mary (Hottenstein) wife of John Hayes, Chattanooga, TN. Nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter also survive him.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Lehighton Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Edward J.
