John Frank Garszczynski

John F. Garszczynski, 93, of Wyomissing, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 in Country Meadows.

He was predeceased by his wife, Florence Mary (Druzba) Garszczynski, whom he married February 9, 1946.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Stanley and Helen (Zradzinski) Garszczynski.

John was a long-time member of St. Ignatius Loyola R. C. Church, Whitfield.

He was an U.S. Army veteran of WWII.

John worked as an extruder operator at Berk-Tek for many years until his retirement in 1988.

He was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus.

John is survived by his daughter: Dr. Suzanne Marie Garszczynski, Lakeland, FL; a brother, Chester, widower of Elizabeth Garszczynski, Reading; and a sister, Gertrude, widow of John George, Robesonia.

In addition to his wife, John was predeceased by two siblings:Jean Bialek and Edward Garszczynski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at 11:30 A.M. in St. Ignatius Loyola R. C. Church, 2810 St Albans Dr, Reading, PA 19608. Entombment will follow in Gethsemane Mausoleum. Friends may call from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: St. Ignatius Loyola R. C.
