John G. Hauze

John Gilbert Hauze, 84, died December 20, 2011 in his Muhlenberg Township residence.

He was the husband of Elizabeth S. (Klose) Hauze.

Born June 12, 1927 in Hazleton, he was a son of the late Rolland E. and Nettie (Smith) Hauze.

John was employed as a machinist with Hazleton Pumps, Falcon Machinery and Universal Machine, retiring in 1991.

He was member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

John served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge #327.

John enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is also survived by three children: Cynthia A., wife of John Petrowski; Sharon F. Elliot and Jacqueline H., wife of David Speece.

In addition, he is survived by a brother, James Donald Hauze of West Hazleton, PA.

Other survivors include four grandchildren: Kristyn, wife of Greg Ballas, Christopher, husband of Stacey Elliott, David Speece and Morgan Speece and three great grandchildren, Cameron Ballas, Jackson Elliott and Trent Elliott.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 7th at 11 a.m. in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1009 Elizabeth Avenue, Laureldale, PA 19605.
