John R. Frasso

John "Jack" R. Frasso, 87, of Wernersville, formerly of Lincoln Park, passed away January 2, 2012 at Phoebe Berks Village Garden.

Jack was the husband of Suzanne (Chappell)Frasso, whom he married July 31, 1949.

Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late George W. and Alice V. (Kissinger) Frasso.

He was a proud 1948 graduate of Penn State University.

Jack worked for Carpenter Technology Corporation for over 38 years, retiring as the Superintendent of the Hot Mills.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Company B, 1st Battalion, 289th Infantry Regiment in the 75th Division during WWII. He earned the Purple Heart Medal for his service in the Battle of the Bulge.

In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his three children: Patricia F., wife of Kirby Dolak, Littleton, MA; Scott, husband of Sharen Frasso, Brighton, MI; and Thomas G., husband of Linda Frasso, Mohnton, PA. Also surviving are his five grandchildren: Krista Gilham, Tyler Dolak, Kimberly Frasso, Mackenzie Frasso, and Michael Frasso.

Services will be Thursday, January 5th at 11:00 a.m. in Phoebe Berks Chapel, Wernersville. A viewing will be Thursday, January 5th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 237 Court St., Reading, PA, 19601. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
