John L. Flemming

John L. Flemming, Sr., 81 formerly of Sinking Spring, died in his Bernville residence on June 19, 2008.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Edward and Ada (Lauter) Flemming.

He attended Williamson Trade School, Media, PA.

John was a bricklayer for Bricklayers, Masons and Tile Setters Local #21 where he was a past President of the Union from 1974-1983 and was also the former secretary.

He is survived by three sons, James P., husband of Susan Zakrzewski, with whom he resided; John L. Jr., husband of Sharon Flemming, Lancaster; Jeffrey C. Flemming, companion of Amy Hoover, Spring Township; a daughter, Jo Ghiringhelli, Sinking Spring; a brother Edward J. Flemming, Jr., Reading; and two sisters, Margaret Bourque, Ledyard, Conn, and Patricia Mancuso, Ft. Myers, Fl.

John is also survived by five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
