John W. Epler

John W. Epler

John Warren Epler, 83, died of natural causes September 10th at 10:30 pm in his residence at 1815 Friedensburg Road, Lower Alsace Township.

He was the widower of Dorothy Florence (Sauppee) Epler who died September 22, 1996.

Born in Mohnton, he was a son of the late John and Alice (Blimline) Epler.

He worked as a truck driver for 30 years at Morris Kreitz & Sons Rigging, of Reading.

Epler last worked for Eastern Rigging of Reading for 13 years before his retirement.

He was an Army WWII Veteran of the Italian Campaign.

Epler is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. (Epler) Levengood of Boyertown.

He is also survived by a sister, Helen (Epler) Fritz of Glen Burnie, Maryland.

Other survivors include two grandsons, Rev. Jeffrey A. Scholl of Pottstown and Steven P. Scholl of Hyde Park.

Services will be Monday 10:00 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Viewing Monday 9am until time of service. Burial in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
