John Emmick

John "Jack" Emmick, 87, passed away on May 16, 2024, at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Bonnie (Frey) Emmick.

Born in McKeesport, PA, on November 26, 1936, he was the son of the late John "Sid" and Virginia (Miller) Emmick. Jack graduated from McKeesport High School in 1955. He was employed by Carpenter Technology for over 30 years.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife; Bonnie, sons: Tim (husband of Denise) of Mohrsville, Scott (husband of Patty) of New Jersey, and Rusty (companion of Stacey) of Mohrsville; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as his 14 nieces and nephews and their families.

He was predeceased by his parents and brother, James Emmick.

He was loved by many friends and extended family, near and far. He would often tell stories about the "old days", remembering names, places, and dates, and could entertain for hours. He enjoyed vacations with Bonnie, camping with his family, and most, he loved his Lord.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Temple with interment at Berks County Memorial Gardens to follow. The family will receive friends and relatives from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
