John W. Eline

John William Eline, Jr., 71, died December 12, 2006 in his Muhlenberg Township residence.

Born, November 15, 1935 in Reading, he was a son of the late John W. Sr. and Kathryn C. (McDonnell) Eline.

He was a 1954 graduate of Central Catholic High School.

John was employed 34 years as a driver with Molly Fasteners, Muhlenberg Township, retiring in November 1997.

He was a Navy Veteran.

John is survived by Theresa E. (Vernetti) Melley, with whom he resided.

Other survivors include a daughter, Kelly P. (Eline) wife of Ralph G. Gagliano of New Providence, N.J. and three sons; John M. husband of Lisa M. (Huff) Eline of Leesport Borough, Robert S. husband of Ellen M. (McCahon) Eline of Chevy Chase, M.D. and Chad C.G. Eline of State College.

He is also survived by two sisters, Anne M. (Eline) wife of Joseph A. Pentz of Reading and Eleanor M. (Eline) wife of Terence J. Henne of Wyomissing.

John is also survived by James R. husband of Debra (Glass) Melley of Hamburg, Michael P. Melley fiancee of Nicole M. D'Onofrio of Bern Township and his best friend, Lotto Eline.

There are also six grandchildren, Chelsea C. Eline, Cory E. Gagliano, Katherine G. Gagliano, John F. Gagliano, Abigail J. Gagliano and Rebecca A. Gagliano.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 am in St. Margaret's R.C. Church, Reading with the Rev. John Gibbons celebrating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass in the Church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township.
