John A. Dussinger

John A. Dussinger, 86 of Reading died Friday, July 5th in Manor Care, Laureldale. He was the husband of Eileen J. (Rohrbach) Dussinger. John was born in Temple on December 19th, 1926 and was the son of the late Calvin B. and Bertha W. (Krick) Dussinger. He was a Navy Veteran of both WWII and Korea. He served on the USS Capricornus of which he was extremely proud. He was a 1950 graduate of the Philadelphia Institute of Barbering. John worked for 27 years as an inspector for Firestone Tire and Rubber in Pottstown retiring in 1980. He was a lifetime member of the Temple and Goodwill Fire Companies. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed fishing and camping. He also enjoyed his casinos trips very much in his later years. In addition to his wife, John is survived by 2 daughters; Deborah L. (Dussinger) wife of Donald L. Wagner, Boyertown, and Karen (Dussinger) Spencer, Fleetwood and 1 granddaughter and 2 great grandsons. John was predeceased by his wife Ann M. (Cehlar) Dussinger to whom he was married to 29 years and 1 son Richard J. Dussinger. He was predeceased by his 7 brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 11th at New St. Aloysius Cemetery, 800 Block, Buchert Road, Pottstown, PA, 19464 at 11:00 AM. Full military honors will be accorded by the American Legion, Post 244, PO Box 477, Sanatoga, PA. 19464. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion at the above address.
