John Francis "Jack" Donohue, 80, of 5124 Wilshire Road, Muhlenberg Township died November 8th at 6:40 p.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center where he had been since November 5th.
He was the husband of Virginia E. (Purcell) Donohue, at home.
Born in Scranton, Pa., Luzerne County he was a son of the late Michael and Agnes (Scanlon) Donohue.
He was a 1940 gratuate of Scranton High School and a 1952 gratuate of the University of Scranton.
Donohue was as an Administrator for the US Federal Government in the Defense Contract Administration Department for 42 years retiring in 1982.
He was an Army Air Corp., Veteran in WWII.
Donohue was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.
He was a 3rd degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus.
Donohue was a member of the Holy Name Society.
He is also survived by a daughter, Ann Marie (Donohue) wife of John J. Grenko of Exeter Township and a son, John J. husband of Mary Jean (Kapes) Donohue of Coopersburg, Lehigh County.
Other surviviors include six grandchildren; Ryan E. Donohue, Erin E. Donohue, Megan H. Donohue, Colleen A. Grenko, Patrick J. Grenko and Timothy M. Grenko.
He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Donohue and a sister, Mary (Donohue) Stahl.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 10:00 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Hyde Park. Viewing Monday evening 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township.
