John N. Dehoff

John N. "Jack" DeHoff, Jr., of Spring Township, died July 13, 2008 in St. Joseph's Medical Center, Bern Township, where he had been since Monday.

He was the husband of Joanne (Derr) DeHoff, whom he married August 16, 1969.

Born in Flushing, NY on December 14, 1943, he was a son of Dr. John N. DeHoff, Sr., of Orangeville, Columbia County and the late Elizabeth (Marquis) DeHoff.

He was a 1962 graduate of Manhasset High School, Long Island, New York and a 1968 graduate of Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus.

Jack owned and operated his own advertising firm, Yellowood Communications for a number of years and Berks Solar Associates for a number of years.

He was a past officer of the Sertoma Club of Reading.

Jack was an avid lover of Pennsylvania history and especially Colonial times.

He is survived by two sisters: Lauranne D. Thatcher of Grants Pass, Oregon and Judith M. DeHoff of Royal Oak, Maryland.

Jack is also survived by a niece, Bo Elizabeth Thatcher of Grants Pass, Oregon.

Memorial Services will be held Friday at 11:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, with Chaplain David L. Ballantyne officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
