John Cataldo

John Cataldo, 76, Wyomissing, died May 20 in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since May 8.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Domenico and Giovina (DeFelice) Cataldo.

Cataldo was last employed for 25 years in management by the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare, Rochester, Beaver County, until 1990. He previously was employed for eight years as a chemist by Copper Labs, Pittsburgh.

He was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Cataldo was a 1947 graduate of Reading High School and a graduate of Duquesne University, Pittsburgh.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Cataldo is survived by a brother, Anthony, with whom he resided.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale. Friends may call from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 237 Franklin Street Reading, PA 19602. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
