John P. Brunner

John Peter Brunner, Jr., 72, of 3539 Gray Street, Laureldale, Pa 19605, died January 8th at in the Hershey Medical Center, where he had been since.

He was the husband of Emily Irene (Esterly) Brunner, married June 28, 1952.

Born in Lyons, he was a son of the late John Sr., and Helen (Bower) Brunner.

He worked as a material handler at Carpenter Technology, Reading for 28 years before retiring in 1985.

Brunner is also survived by a son, Dennis C. Brunner of Reading and a daughter, Jacqueline M. (Brunner) wife of Dave Althouse of Reading.

Other survivors include a brother, Donald C. Brunner of Muhlenberg Township.

There are three grandchildren.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Paul's Union Cemetery, Richmond Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association 2045 West Gate Drive, Suite 302, Bethlehem, Pa 18017. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
