John M. Bodock

John M. Bodock, 80, of Windsor Township passed away Friday, December 31st in his Hamburg home.

John was born in Allentown, PA and was the son of the late John and Anna (Batley) Bodock. John was a 1959 graduate of Liberty High School in Bethlehem and graduated from Penn State University in 1963 with a degree in Turf Maintenance. His entire career was in the golf industry - beginning with working on the grounds crew at Saucon Valley Country Club then retiring from Lawn & Golf Supply Company in 2004.

John enjoyed golf, the outdoors, and Penn State sports. He was proud of his heritage and liked to share stories and traditional Slovak foods with his family and friends. He loved being a grandfather and playing "the numbers game" with his grandson.

John was a faithful member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Tilden Township. John is survived by daughter, Catherine M. Bodock wife of John Beam, Nazareth, PA, son Michael J. husband of Lee A. Bodock, and grandson Justin M. Bodock, Melrose, MA.

John was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Josephine "Phina" A. Bodock, and sisters Catherine Bodock and Bernadine Grow.
