John J. Belovich, 76, passed away on March 12, 2026, in his Mt. Penn residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Allentown to the late Anthony and Josephine (DeSilva) Belovich, John graduated from Catasauqua High School. He spent his career working in construction, where he was known as a respected home builder and a highly skilled carpenter, taking great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of his work. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and woodworking in his shop.
John was a dedicated father who made every effort to attend his sons' sporting events and milestones. He also enjoyed coaching Jason through soccer, baseball and basketball. With Shawn, he loved to hunt and fish and pursue other outdoor interests. No matter what John was doing, he always gave his maximum effort. He was a good friend to many and will be missed deeply.
John's deepest pride were his grandchildren, Jeffrey and Olivia. They brought him immeasurable joy. He cherished every moment spent with them. His grandchildren were truly the light of his life, and his love for them will continue to live on through each of them.
His memory is cherished by his sons, Shawn M., husband of Jennifer Belovich, of North Bethesda, MD, and Jason L., husband of Amanda Stitzel, of Fleetwood, and his grandchildren, Jeffrey and Olivia. John is also survived by his brother, Robert "Bobby," husband of Janet, of Bath, PA, and nieces, Maria Melchior and Erica Belovich. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Anthony.
Contributions in John's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, https://www.stjude.org/.
