Johanna Henrika (Trienen) Grenko, more commonly known as Yoka, 77, passed away on July 7, 2012 in her Muhlenberg Township residence.

Originally from the town of Almelo, in the Netherlands, Yoka was a daughter of the late Wilhelm and Egbertha (Te Lintelo) Trienen.

She was the loving wife of Leon Grenko, who passed away December 15, 1989. Together they celebrated 30 years of marriage.

Yoka was schooled in Holland.

Throughout her life she utilized her language skills as a translator, and spent several years working for the international business department of Arrow International, Inc., in Reading.

Yoka could often be seen exercising her creativity in the graden or behind a potter's wheel. She was an avid fan of international films, and enjoyed admiring the beauty and serenity of the outdoors.

She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Muhlenberg Township.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen M., wife of Curtis A. Bolin of Windsor Township and her son, Brian J. Grenko of San Francisco, partner of Alicia Stevenson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Muhlenberg Township. A viewing will be held from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
