Jody Warren Weidel

Jody Warren Weidel, 60, of Reading, passed away October 22, 2016, in the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania.

He was the beloved husband of Patricia G. (Biondo) Weidel, with whom he celebrated 25 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, he was the son of Elizabeth (Weitzel) Weidel, Reading, and the late Warren Weidel.

Jody was a graduate of Central Catholic High School.

He was employed by Barta Transportation as a bus driver for 39 years.

Jody was a member of the Knights of Columbus and loved to golf. The most important thing to him was family; he was a devoted Catholic, husband and father.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Scott E., husband of Kaitlyn Weidel, Reading; and Noel S. Weidel, Mechanicsburg, and his step-son, Nick Zocco, Reading. He is also survived by his siblings, Michael Weidel and Jan Fisher, both of Reading, and grandson, Kaleb Weidel.

Jody was predeceased by his brother, James Weidel.

A viewing will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated privately at the convenience of the family.
