Joanne Shields

Joanne Shields, 81, of West Reading, died October 26, 2015 at Mifflin Center, Shillington.

Born in Chester, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Dolores (Cohill) Shields.

Joanne was a graduate of Albright College and worked as an addiction counselor for most of her life.

She was an avid reader, loved classical music and enjoyed the New York times crossword puzzles.

Joanne is survived by five children: John Maillie, Wyomissing, Christopher Maillie, Womelsdorf, Kathleen Koslesky, Exeter Twp., David Maillie, Exeter Twp., Timothy Maillie, Manheim, Twp., and one sister, Kathleen Haenjtens, Hazelton.

Other survivors include ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Mifflin Center for their kindness and devoted care.
