Joanne M. Debiec, 77, of Spring Township, passed away on February 5, 2025 at Penn State Health St. Josephs Hospital. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of George and Concetta (Elmo) Tallierchio. Joanne was the loving spouse of Henry L. Debiec with whom she shared 43 years of marriage until his passing in 2010.
In 1965, Joanne celebrated a significant milestone as she became a member of the inaugural graduating class of Holy Name High School. She dedicated her career to the Reading School District, where she served as a secretary until her retirement in 2010.
Joanne held her faith in high regard and was a devoted member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church.
Joanne was a loving and doting mother and grandmother. Her selflessness was remarkable, as she consistently prioritized others over herself. A lover of food, she had a sweet tooth and always ensured her family enjoyed hearty meals. Joanne was well-informed about everything happening around her and regularly met with a group of friends to share prayers and conversations.
She is survived by her children: Christopher Debiec, of Bastrop, TX, Lisa Iezzi, partner of Scott Wernicki, of Pennside, and Matthew Debiec, husband of Annette, of Sinking Spring. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Sam Iezzi, Becca Iezzi, wife of Andre Guedes, Jessie Kaltsas, wife of Nick, Jack Debiec, and Mia Debiec, and her great-granddaughter, Addison Lily.
Joanne was predeceased by her brother, Anthony Tallierchio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February, 10, 2025 at St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2600 St. Albans Drive, Reading at 11AM with a visitation beginning at 10:30. Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
