Joanna Eileen Stine

Joanna "Jo" E. (Swanger) Stine, 77, of Hamburg, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022, at St. Francis Home.

Jo was born in Reading, PA on December 24, 1944 to the late John E. and June N. (Hess) Swanger. Jo graduated from Hamburg High School. She was last employed as a proofreader for the Windsor Press until her retirement.

Jo was an avid Elvis fan and collector. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles. She loved animals and donated to various charities throughout the year.

Jo is survived by her daughter, Julie Moyer, and her husband, Wade, of Shoemakersville, PA; her sister, Sue Wessner, and her husband, Dick; her two nephews, Marty and Jon, and his wife, April, and their two children, Jon and Nicole.

Jo is predeceased by her loving husband, Arlan R. Stine in 2005.

A visitation will be held Friday, March 4, 2022, from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, 40 South Fourth Street, Hamburg. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Randy Bond officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Joanna E. Stine to St. Francis Home and/or Berks County Humane Society.
