Joan E. Maslar

Joan E. Maslar, 66, died December 20, 2007 in her Shillington residence.

Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of Catherine (O'Neill) Maslar, Sinking Spring and the late Andrew Maslar.

She was a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School in 1959.

Joan was a buyer for the County of Berks for 30 years retiring in June of 2005.

She was an avid gardener and loved bird watching.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Christopher Rabzak, Shillington. There is also one nephew, Nicholas Bard and one brother-in-law, Leroy Bard both of Spring Twp. She was predeceased by her sister Christine (Maslar) Bard, who died August 3.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 2 at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. A viewing will be held Saturday, December 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
